Getting closer to “Cruise Day” and plans are proceeding on schedule. Itinerary changed and visitor operating permissions obtained.
Steps are proceeding in preparation of our cruise later this summer. Visitor license applications have been filed and already have one back.
To of my favorite activities to relax and enjoy are sailing on a cruise ship and operating ham radio. So it’s only logical to try joining them together.
Now finally with a full portable operational radio setup I got the opportunity to head out to one of the local registered POTA parks to do my first activation.
Like for many ham operators, POTA is a great way to practice our skills as radio operators. For me this is no exception.
